It almost did serious damage to some of my work (imagine how you prevent work from being saved, but still close and restart your computer with a continuous 'enter key' input). I finally figured it out by systematically removing everything and restarting the computer, then plugging things in one at a time.
I had an external hard drive connected through it, and the link kept on disconnecting when transfering large files. I tracked down a number of problems on my computer to this hub.
Even restarting the computer wouldn't fix it. Most recently, this hub was causing continuous input mimicking an enter key input on my laptop.
In the middle of working on something, the computer would go crazy like I was holding down the enter key. Sure enough, with this hub in, the computer would go crazy.
Now I am very leary of trying Targus brand hubs again.

Some USB hubs don't have enough power to perform but I'm happy to say this one does have the power. Watch the video to see how many heavy duty items its powering such as multiple hard drive enclosures and a printer.I highly recommend it.
This hub did exactly what I bought it for. It just works and is very compact. Enough said.
love the size and simplicity of the product but unfortunately at the end of the day, it didn't do the job. had a 8gb flash drive stick and 2 iphone chargers connected to it, it kept 'disconnecting' them. figured for the price it's worth a try but now, must find something else that actually allows me to use it. bummed.
This USB hub is an excellent purchase for the price. The only features I would like is for it to be powered, but for a notebook it is a great purchase.
